Dispatch
UK
Delivery within the UK is free of charge, dispatched by Special Delivery Post or by DHL express courier service.
Export · EU
All orders will be dispatched by DHL Express Courier. The standard shipping charge for this will be 40 Euros or 35GBP. For items that are shipped as a ‘coil’ and have a large volumetric weight the standard shipping charge will be 65Euros or 55GBP.
In accordance with recipient country customs procedures, all items shipped to the EU are liable for VAT charges at point of receipt. From January 2021, DHL will invoice customers for the VAT paid on their behalf before goods are delivered. In addition a small admin fee may be charged.
Export · Switzerland
All orders will be dispatched by DHL Express Courier. The standard shipping charge for this will be 40CHF. For items that are shipped as a ‘coil’ and have a large volumetric weight the standard shipping charge will be 80CHF.
Export · USA
All orders will be dispatched by DHL Express Courier. The standard shipping charge for this will be 50USD. For items that are shipped as a ‘coil’ and have a large volumetric weight the standard shipping charge will be 70USD.
Export · Rest of the World
This applies to all other countries not covered above. All orders will be dispatched by DHL Express Courier. The standard shipping charge for this will be 45GBP. For items that are shipped as a ‘coil’ and have a large volumetric weight the standard shipping charge will be 70GBP.
Normal dispatch within 48 hours
Almost everything listed in our online catalogue is in stock and dispatch is typically within 48 hours from receipt of order. However, on the rare occasion that an item is out of stock, a dispatch forecast will be given. Every effort will be made to dispatch the goods within this timescale, however, we shall not be liable in any circumstance for loss, whether direct or consequential, arising from a delay in dispatch of the goods. For export orders, dispatch will be conditional on our obtaining export licences or any other necessary governmental requirements.
Rush Shipments
If requested we can offer same day dispatch, provided that an order is placed early during the day, preferably before 1pm.
For rush shipments within the UK we can offer pre 9am or pre 12am delivery depending on the location. There is an additional shipping charge for this service which is approximately £15 for items less than 1kg.
Split Shipments
Whilst every attempt will be made to avoid split shipments, we reserve the right to split ship at our discretion.
Duplicate Orders
To help stop orders being duplicated, all orders that are confirmation of orders should be clearly marked “Confirmation of Order. Do Not Duplicate”. We reserve the right to regard any confirmation order that is not marked accordingly as a separate order.
Quantities
For special orders we reserve the right to ship within ±10% of the quantity ordered, with a pro rata invoice adjustment. For standard catalogue stock lines we would use our best efforts to supply the exact quantity ordered, however, the customer shall accept within ±5% of the quantity ordered, with a pro rata invoice adjustment.
Standard Packs
We will do our best to supply in the standard pack size, but where not possible we reserve the right to substitute alternative combinations of quantities to ship the quantity ordered. Whilst every effort is made to maintain the standard pack sizes listed, from time to time changes are required and we reserve the right to alter the standard pack sizes without notice.
Continuous Lengths
If you require a continuous length of foil, ribbon or wire, please say so at the time the order is placed. We reserve the right to supply in more than one length unless we have previously agreed to supply in one length. For certain catalogue items continuous lengths are not available.
Prices
Price Fluctuation
We reserve the right to revise any price in case of currency fluctuations, raw material costs or increased costs outside our control. Prices invoiced will be those ruling at the time the order is placed. If current prices are more than 25% above catalogue prices we will not ship without prior customer confirmation.
Delivery
Our system gives an estimate for the carriage based on normal transactions, we reserve the right to reconfirm the actual carriage charge as applicable and will notify you of any change before completing your order.
VAT Taxes & Customs Duties
Prices listed in the catalogue do not include VAT, taxes or customs duties. Orders for UK delivery will be subject to VAT (Value Added Tax) at the prevailing rate. Customers will be responsible for the payment of these charges that apply to their order.
VAT Exempt Orders – UK delivery
If the goods are VAT Exempt, we must receive the relevant VAT Exemption Certificate. Without this certificate, orders delivered within the UK will be charged VAT at the prevailing rate
European Community Countries VAT
Within the European community, all invoices are required to show the VAT number of the customer and supplier. Under these circumstances, no VAT will be charged. If the customer does not provide us with a valid VAT number, VAT will be charge at the prevailing rate within the UK.
Contracts
Law
Contracts between us and the customer shall be deemed to be subject in all respect to English Law unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Quotations
All quotations are made without engagement and are subject to our Standard Conditions of Sale
Orders
All orders are subject to acceptance of the conditions on our Acknowledgement of Order and to our Standard Conditions of Sale (SCS) ruling at date of order. Copies of our Standard Conditions of Sale are available upon request. The notes on these pages are a summary of our SCS, in the event of any conflict between the summary and the prevailing SCS, the SCS will apply.
Title
Title to the goods shall remain with the Seller until payment for them has been received in full, but the risk in such goods shall pass to the Buyer upon the earlier of delivery or shipment (as the case may be) or receipt of payment in full.
Exclusions
All conditions warranties and representations regarding the quality, fitness for purpose or state, size, shape, capacity or colour of goods supplied whether expressed or implied by common law or statute or otherwise are hereby expressly excluded. We shall not be liable for any loss or damage or injury direct or consequential arising from the use of goods supplied by us however such damage is caused, nor for any delay in delivery.
Specifications
Our policy is to continue to improve specifications and we reserve the right to alter published specifications without notice. We supply materials according to our specification. We make no warranty as to the fitness of the materials for any specific application.
Returned Goods
No goods will be accepted for return without prior permission. For standard catalogue items, ordered in error, a restocking charge will be made. This will be a minimum of £35 or 25% of the net invoice value, whichever is the greater. For special orders, the cancellation charge will depend on the product ordered and the circumstances. Depending how far advanced production is at the time of cancellation, the cancellation fee could be as high as 100% of the order value or invoice value.
Claims
Any claims in respect to material specification, tolerances, quantity, quality or goods damaged in transit must be notified to us in writing within three days of delivery. Please keep all the packaging for our inspection. If the error is our responsibility, return dispatch instructions will be given. At our discretion, the customer will be either shipped a replacement free of charge or issued a credit note for the invoiced value. Our liability for any such claim shall not exceed the cost of the goods.
Hazardous goods / restricted articles
Our catalogue, product labels and material information pages give warnings of known hazards associated with the materials we supply. However, almost all materials may be hazardous in certain conditions or if handled without due care. The customer agrees that only qualified and trained individuals will handle our products.
Certain hazardous materials may only be supplied against an official signed order from a recognised organisation. These goods will not be sent by post, but will be dispatched by courier.
UK orders will be subject to a handling charge of £35.
Export orders will be subject to a handling charge of £50.
Payment
Our terms of payment are pro-forma until an order history is established.
Payment can be made online by credit card or via bank transfer.
